  • Recommended Motion:

    That the Regional Municipality of Waterloo increase the contract with Capital Paving Inc. for T2021-104 – Ottawa Street Improvements from Fischer Hallman Road to International Place in the City of Kitchener, Ontario in the amount of $500,000.00 for a total contract price of $3,687,044.00 plus all applicable taxes.

    1. That the Regional Municipality of Waterloo direct the Regional Clerk to issue public notice of its intention to, on November 8, 2022:


    1. Repeal By-Law Number 00-031, as amended, of the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, A By-Law to Govern the Proceedings of the Council and its Committees; and


    2. Approve the proposed Procedural By-law provided in Appendix B of Report PDL-CAS-22-009 dated October 4, 2022, to be effective on November 15, 2022.

  • Recommended Motion:

    That the Summary of Recommendations of the Planning and Works Committee dated October 4, 2022 be adopted as follows:

    1. That the Regional Municipality of Waterloo approve the Recommended Design Alternative for a proposed roundabout at Fischer-Hallman Road (Regional Road No. 58) and New Dundee Road. Regional Road No. 12), City of Kitchener and North Dumfries Township, as described in Report EES-DCS-22-001, dated October 4, 2022.

    Upon completion of construction, that The Regional Municipality of Waterloo amend Traffic and Parking By-law 16-023, as amended to:


    a. Remove from Schedule 17, Rates of Speed, 70 km/h on New Dundee Road (Regional Road 12) from 500 m west of Fischer-Hallman Road (Regional Road 58) to 500 m east of Fischer-Hallman Road (Regional Road 58);


    b. Remove from Schedule 17, Rates of Speed, 70 km/h on Fischer-Hallman Road (Regional Road 58) from 500 m north of New Dundee Road (Regional Road 12) to 500 m south of New Dundee Road (Regional Road 12);


    c. Add to Schedule 17, Rates of Speed, 60 km/h on New Dundee Road (Regional Road 12) from 500 m west of Fischer-Hallman Road (Regional Road 58) to 500 m east of Fischer-Hallman Road (Regional Road 58);


    d. Add to Schedule 17, Rates of Speed, 60 km/h on Fischer-Hallman Road (Regional Road 58) from 500 m north of New Dundee Road (Regional Road 12) to 500 m south of New Dundee Road (Regional Road 12);


    e. Add to Schedule 15, Lane Designation, on New Dundee Road (Regional Road 12) westbound at Fischer-Hallman Road (Regional Road 58), Through/Left Turn, Right Turn;

    f. Add to Schedule 15, Lane Designation, on Fischer-Hallman Road (Regional Road 58) southbound at New Dundee Road (Regional Road 12), Left Turn, Through/Right Turn;

  • Recommended Motion:

    That a By-law to Confirm the Actions of Council of October 12, 2022 be read a first, second and third time, finally passed and numbered 22-050 signed by the Regional Chair and Regional Clerk and sealed with the Regional Seal.
