PDL-CAS-25-004, Options to Fill Vacant Council Position

• Recommended Motion:

  That the Regional Municipality of Waterloo selects option __ , and the associated process, as outlined in report PDL-CAS-25-004, dated March 4, 2025 as the method for filling the vacant Regional Councillor – Kitchener seat.

  That a closed meeting of the Council be held on March 4th, 2025 at 10:30 a.m., in the Waterloo County Room, in accordance with Section 239 of the “Municipal Act, 2001”, for the purposes of considering the following subject matters: 

  1. Receiving advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege related to an identifiable individual; 
  2. Receiving advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege related to potential impact of tariffs; 
  3. Receiving advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege related to a proposed disposition of land in the City of Cambridge; and
  4. A  proposed acquisition of land in the City of Cambridge.

  That a By-law to Confirm the Proceedings of the Council of the Regional Municipality of Waterloo at this Meeting Held on March 4, 2025 be read a first, second and third time, finally passed and numbered 25-007 be signed by the Regional Chair and Regional Clerk and sealed with the Regional Seal.
